Welcome to Pulse! This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our breathing exercise app. Your privacy is important to us, and we're committed to being transparent about our practices.

Information We Collect

Analytics Data (Anonymous)

We use Firebase Analytics by Google to understand how people use Pulse. This helps us improve the app and add features you'll love. The data collected is completely anonymous and includes:

• Which breathing patterns you use (4-7-8, Box, Deep Breathing)
• How many breathing sessions you complete
• How long your sessions last
• Which educational content you view
• Basic device information (iOS version, device model, country)
• App crashes or errors (to fix bugs)

What We DON'T Collect

• No personal information: We don't collect your name, email, phone number, or any identifying information
• No location tracking: We don't track your precise location
• No health data: We don't access or store any health-related data from HealthKit or other sources
• No contacts: We don't access your contacts or photos
• No account required: You don't need to create an account or log in

How We Use Information

The anonymous analytics data helps us:

• Understand which breathing patterns are most popular
• Identify and fix crashes or bugs
• Improve app performance and user experience
• Decide which new features to add
• See if our educational content is helpful

Data Storage

All your breathing session data (cycles completed, patterns used) is stored only on your device. We don't have access to this information, and it never leaves your iPhone or iPad.

If you delete the app, all local data is permanently removed.

Third-Party Services

Firebase Analytics (Google)

We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics. Firebase is a service provided by Google and follows strict privacy standards.

Your Privacy Rights

iOS Privacy Features

iOS gives you control over your data:

• App Tracking Transparency: We don't track you across apps or websites
• Limited Analytics: You can disable analytics in iOS Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements

Opting Out of Analytics

If you'd prefer not to send anonymous analytics, you can disable it:

• Go to iOS Settings
• Scroll to Privacy & Security
• Select Analytics & Improvements
• Turn off "Share iPhone Analytics"

Children's Privacy

Pulse is safe for all ages. We don't knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Because we don't collect personal information at all, there's no special data handling needed for younger users.

Data Security

Since we don't collect or store personal data on our servers, there's minimal security risk. The anonymous analytics data sent to Firebase is transmitted securely using industry-standard encryption.

International Users

Pulse is available worldwide. Firebase Analytics data may be processed in the United States or other countries where Google operates data centers. This data is anonymous and doesn't identify you personally.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app or update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have specific privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). However, since Pulse doesn't collect personal information, these rights don't apply to our app.

European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

European users have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Since we don't collect personal data, and our analytics are completely anonymous, there's no personal data to access, modify, or delete.
